IPL V IPL: Who Cares (Who) Wins

Hooray, its IPL time – let the Battle Royale begin
Dead wickets, short boundaries, bowlers done in

Chennai Super Kings – the Monarch of all he surveys
Fighting tigers at home, lambs & bunnies overseas

Delhi Daredevils should be renamed DDT
With its abundant new firepower for all to see

Will the Little Master set an insurmountable T20 record
Or will he use the stage to exit right on his own accord

Can Gambhir bring balm to the City in turmoil
Having let go of its beloved Son of the Soil

Who now can rekindle the magic of his offside bat
Show his cunning in the land of Shivaji, the mountain rat

Rajasthan Royals have taken shelter under the Wall
Now being weaned and Warne’d off the Century’s Ball

Well, does anyone really care who is playing whom
For most players, it’s just good to be back home
